My Broken Neighborhood----

My State, my city, my street is a broken bottle. When a bottle is dropped it crashes into a millon pieces, just like my fellow Mississippians hearts are in a pieces. God's heart is also many broken pieces when we sin. Broken glass is very sharp, sharp enough to pierce the skin and cause all kinds of hurt, disscomfort and pain.  This is my town, street, city thats broken. Mine! What am I doing about it? Nothing! Im to engrossed in myself to notice other peoples broken and shattered lives.  Save my state, street, city dear God. We are on our hands and knees begging and crying out for things to change, we are begging to have our prayers answered. God we know you are near and know you love and hear us. Answer our petitions. Amen

I wrote  "My broken Bottle Neighborhood" after I went to WeWillGo. Since then I have revised what i wrote down and have come up with this, pretty much the same thing as what i wrote before just worded different and a changed title. Before attending WeWillGo with my GoLocal group i had never really thought before of people around me in my neighborhood and city as being broken. I thought broken people were the crack addicts, sex addicts and the bums. After WeWillGo i didn't think that anymore, i mean yes those people are broken but my neighbors are also broken even though they have nice clothes and drive expensive cars. I finally realized your outside appearance doesn't make you broken.
The WeWillGo people encouraged us to walk around our street and pray for the people in the houses they also encouraged us to do lots of praying for our community. One Story they told was about a lady in a really nice neighborhood, she would walk down her street and tell them about the people in each house and how they were broken. One family  had the police come to their house at least once a week because of their son, one family the parents were getting a divorce and the list goes on.
I want to be a missionary  but if i can't be a missionary to my community then how can i be a missionary somewhere else?
